Todavía no tengo muy claro cual es la función de que un número de telefono no sea identificable. No he estudiado el caso pero aquí en Costa Rica se me hace innecesario y se presta para que personas inescrupolosas realicen llamadas con el fin de molestar.
Deberían hacer algún tipo de ley de telecomunicaciones al respecto porque yo como receptor de una llamada tengo el derecho a saber quién me esta llamando, también muchos niños se aprovechan de esta situación para realizar bromas pesadas y aprovecharse de tener un número privado. Los únicos casos en que no debería ser así son en caso de peligro por ejemplo si realizo una llamada a una carcel o una denuncia al 911 por drogas o narcotrafico.
Es molesto el recibir una llamada de algún bromista que le diga a uno que lo quiere matar o peor aún recibir una llamada de una carcel y no poder identificarlo. Si alguién quiere que no lo identifiquen que mejor vaya a un telefono público pero por lo menos uno debe tener la posibilidad de identificar el telefono de donde se realizo la llamada.
Al llamar a la compañia de telecomunicaciones lo único que dicen es que no pueden dar el número para proteger la privacidad del llamante. Probablemente solo por vía judicial uno puede solicitar el número llamante.
Yo en mi caso tengo la politica de no responder un número que aparezca como privado. Es una decisión dificil muy pocos tienen la valentía de hacerlo pero la verdad que yo quiero saber quién me esta llamando para saber si contesto o no el telefono. Por lo menos tener la posibilidad de devolver la llamada aún sin saber el número.

Yo había tomado la decisión de no contestar números privados, pero lamentablemente me tuve que ver obligado a volver a aceptarlos. Eso de que el número sea privado es una payasada, claro, salvo excepciones bien justificadas.

A mi me parece que es muy distinto que un número sea privado a que uno quiera o no quiera aparecer en la guía telefonica en el caso de los telefonos fijos. Si no quieres aparecer en la guía telefonica es tu derecho pero no ocultar tu numero para llamar a otra persona.

Otra cosa que me parece super estupida... resulta que te llaman de un privado para molestarte, vos vas al ICE y das las horas de las llamadas, ellos si saben cual numero es, le explicas el caso y pedis que bloqueen ese numero para que no te puedan llamar mas y la respuesta es No.
Xq? Xq el ICE le garantiza el derecho de comunicarse a cualquier ciudadano o persona dentro del territorio, ya sea un preso llamandote para extorsionarte o maenazarte o un cobarde detras de un privado que no te deja de molestar.
